Like Julia, I´m doing a proyect to get a higher mark in biology.
I´m going to talk about Mendel´s laws.
This is the proyect I´m doing.

Terrestrial internal dynamics
-Julia Soriano: for the end of the course, our teacher asked us to do a project of the terrestrial internal dynamics.
Throughout the weekend I have made this, here you have the links for more information about the topic. I will finished this week and on thursday you will see my final work :)

BEANS POPULATION
Once finished measuring beans we made a graphic.
There´s only a 1% of beans that measures 1,5 and a 18,5% of beans that measures 1,7.
That means that the normal size of a population of 206 beans is between 1cm, 1,3cm and 1,7cm.

Here you have today´s work on a video!! We hope you enjoy it :)
Wednesday, 2
Today we are still measuring beans, but we are also going to create a baby by searching randomly genes.

Today we are on a reflection day!!! We are mesuraring beans because we are studying the population variety.
It's a hard but it is also a funny work,
We leave you here some photos;-)

Down syndrome video
Finally, this is our video. We wish you enjoy it
In this video you are going to see some spanish associations, the activitities they do for this people and a little introduction about the down syndrome
This is out doc about down syndrome :-)
DOWN SYNDROME
The chromosomal disorder Down syndrome is caused by the presence of part or all of a 21st chromosome. Characterized by a combination of minor and major changes in structure Down syndrome is concerned with impairment of cognitive ability and physical growth, as well as a particular set of facial characteristics.
Down syndrome can be identified before birth, by using amniocentesis during pregnancy. A small percentage of suffers have been found to have a severe to profound mental disability, with the incidence of Down syndrome estimated at 1 per 800 to 1,000 births, however it has been noted that Down syndrome children are more common with older mothers. The 90% of mothers abort when they are told that her baby has down syndrome.
PHYSICAL FEATURES:
Common physical features of Down syndrome include microgenia (an abnormally small chin), an unusually round face, macroglossia (protruding/oversized tongue), almond-shaped eyes that is caused by an epicanthic fold of the eyelid, upslanting palpebral fissures (separation between upper and lower eyelids), shorter than normal limbs, a single transverse palmar crease, poor muscle tone and a larger than normal space between toes.
A common treatment in Down syndrome is physical therapy, a treatment proven to promote enhanced development of gross motor skills. Growth parameters such as height and weight are generally considered to be smaller in Down syndrome children than in other individuals of the same age, with adult Down syndrome suffers having a short stature throughout life.
It has been noted that a large number of children with Down syndrome have a wide range of abilities, with school successes varying greatly, leading to the argument that each child should be evaluated and assessed on an individual basis. It is not uncommon that the cognitive problems in Down syndrome suffers is also found in typical children, which offers greater access for parents to access general programs offered throughout schools.
The Down Syndrome hasn´t got any cure because it is not an illness, it is a genetic alterationbut an early treatment could help lots of people who has down syndrome so they can live a more productive and normal life when you are older.
Some problems of Down people are: thyroid, hard of hearing and seizure problems but with a treatment they could be corrected.
Through the last years the life of these people has increased 20 years.
Its international day is 21st. of March.
